Beware! AAI warns against fake job offers at Rupsi airport

Guwahati: Airport Authority of India (AAI), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has warned against fake job offer at AAI's Rupsi Airport. In this regard, AAI had also issued a warning earlier. This came to light after many people, especially youngsters, were found enquiring about the job opportunity and vacancies at the airport in Rupsi which has recently been redeveloped.

In an official statement, the public sector company said, "AAI officials of Rupsi Airport noticed that some unknown agencies are holding fake recruitment drives through unauthenticated online and offline means for jobs at Rupsi Airport under the name of AAI. There is no such recruitment process going on particularly for Rupsi Airport by AAI."

"In recent times, since the new airport has been re-developed at Rupsi, Assam, many people, especially youngsters are enquiring about job opportunities and vacancies at the airport. Earlier also, we have issued notices and releases on the same, but this time at Rupsi, it is occurring regularly and stakeholders have complained about the same," AAI said in a statement.

"AAI and its office from Rupsi hereby alert the people and concerned stakeholders, to be aware of such fraud agencies and not to get misled by fraudulent advertisements," the statement said. AAI also clarified that for any recruitment, job opening, people can check its official website www.aai.aero. AAI does not have any agencies or consultancies which are hiring or recruiting people using its name and logo for jobs at newly constructed Rupsi Airport at Dhubri District in Assam, it added.
