Ajay Madhukar Mhetre (ITS) assumes charge as CVO of WCL

New Delhi: Ajay Madhukar Mhetre assumed charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) at its headquarters in Nagpur. Prior to his posting in WCL, he held the post of Director (Rural) at the Bihar LSA, Patna. He has assumed charge of the post with effect from December 26, WCL said in an official statement on Tuesday.

Mhetre competed his Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) from Nagpur and qualified UPSC Engineering Services Examination in 1996. He joined the Department of Telecom (DoT) as an Indian Telecom Services Officer (ITS) in 1998. He has served in various capacity in the Department of Telecom and BSNL. During his tenure, he has served in Nagpur and Amravati in Maharashtra state and in Patna, Bihar. He has 24 years' experience in mobile communication and in telecom regulatory bodies like Telecom Enforcement Resource & Monitoring.

On assuming charge, Mhetre met WCL's CMD Manoj Kumar, Director (Personnel) Dr Sanjay Kumar, Director (Technical/Operations) J P Dwivedi and Director Technical (Project & Planning) AK Singh. They welcomed Mhetre. Technical Secretary to CMD Tarun Kumar Shrivastav and General Manager (Vigilance) Anup Hanjura were also present on the occasion.
