COVID Vaccination: IREDA inoculates 176 peoples in its 2nd vaccination camp

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) organised the second COVID-19 vaccination camp on Saturday for employees and their dependents at IREDA's Corporate Office, New Delhi.

This was done in line with the direction of Govt. of India- "Free Vaccination for All." In the vaccination drive, a total of 176 employees and their dependent from IREDA, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, NEEPCO and the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) got vaccinated with the objective and fulfilling to rapidly immunise all eligible employees.

On this occasion, IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das underlined that "this is an effort to ensure protection and confidence so as to enable a healthier workforce. IREDA aims to cover all eligible employees and their dependents under the protection of the vaccine." He thanked Apollo Hospital for their collaboration and support.

The vaccination drive was carried out for the safety of power sector personnel so that the critical need for an uninterrupted power supply on a 24×7 basis is ensured.

IREDA had jointly conducted the first vaccination drive with NHPC on May 7-8, in which 317 employees of various CPSUs under the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy were vaccinated for the first dose of Covishield.

For those who are left, another vaccination camp would be organised for them at the appropriate time.
