Dr Jayachandran K set to be next Director (Technical) of FACT

New Delhi: Dr Jayachandran K is set to be the next Director (Technical) of Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a PSU under the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in the same organisation.

Dr Jayachandran has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of FACT from a list of four candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on July 7. Out of four candidates, three candidates on the list, were from FACT and one candidate was from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).

As Director (Technical) of FACT, Dr Jayachandran will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will act as head of the technical and operations division of the company. His responsibilities will be to exercise of control over the efficient operation of the plants of the company in a manner which would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He will also act as the Principal Adviser of the company in all technical and operations matters.
