USAID delegation visits NTPC’s Dadri plant

New Delhi/Dadri: A senior-level delegation from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), led by Kali Farahmand, and comprising of members from the United States Senate Committee on Appropriations, visited NTPC Dadri on April 16. USAID partners with Centre for Power Efficiency & Environmental Protection (CENPEEP) for various projects in NTPC, such as the establishment of CENPEEP, PACE-D and GEP programmes and ongoing pilot project related to coal flexibility under USAID's current energy programme, called Greening the Grid (GTG).

The delegates were received by PK Upadhyay, GM (O&M-Gas) and senior officials of NTPC Dadri. During the visit, Kali Farahmand and distinguished delegates visited Coal Station Stage-2; Solar Plant and Eco Park. PK Mishra, GM (O&M-Coal) and other senior officials briefed the delegation about various achievements and salient features showcased at NTPC's Dadri power station.

The USAID delegates showed a keen interest in power plant operation and environment initiatives. Various issues related to the partnership of USAID with NTPC for various projects and initiatives were also discussed in a meeting of the delegation with senior management of NTPC Dadri. CS Srinivas, GM (Operations), Jayanta Bhattacharya, GM (Maint), Vijaya Lakshmi Muralidharan, AGM (HR) and senior officials of NTPC CC & Dadri were also present on the occasion. As a token of their visit to NTPC Dadri, the delegates planted saplings at Eco Park.
