BEL, C-DAC join hands to pursue sovereign data centre infrastructure opportunities

New Delhi: Navratna defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to jointly pursue opportunities in sovereign data centre infrastructure.

Under the partnership, BEL and C-DAC will work towards developing and positioning a fully indigenous and integrated technology stack for sovereign data centre deployments, strengthening domestic ICT capabilities for critical national infrastructure.

The collaboration will cover indigenous design and development, system engineering, integration, testing and production for current and future programmes of strategic importance.

Under the proposed arrangement, BEL will act as the System Integrator (SI), while C-DAC will serve as the Technology Partner, providing indigenously developed products and solutions.

The partnership is aimed at supporting high-stakes national infrastructure deployments through domestically developed technologies and solutions.

The MoU has been signed by BEL's Director (Marketing) Anoop Kumar Rai, and C-DAC's Director General Magesh Ethirajan.
