New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has paid a final dividend of Rs 283.56 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2025-26.

The dividend represents the Government of India’s shareholding of 58.17 percent in the state-owned engineering company. A cheque for the final dividend was presented to Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H. D. Kumaraswamy by BHEL Chairman and Managing Director K. Sadashiv Murthy in the presence of Heavy Industries Secretary Kamran Rizvi.

The final dividend payout to the government for FY 2025-26 is more than two-and-a-half times the amount paid for FY 2024-25.

Overall, BHEL paid a total dividend of Rs 487.49 crore to its shareholders for FY 2025-26.

Directors on the BHEL board and senior officials of the Ministry of Heavy Industries were also present on the occasion.
