New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has announced the launch of the 'Emerge' cohort under its BPCL Ankur Fund, aimed at fostering innovation in Energy Efficiency and City Gas Distribution (CGD). This initiative seeks to support startups developing cutting-edge solutions that enhance sustainability, optimize energy consumption, and improve operational efficiency in the oil and gas sector.
BPCL has been actively promoting startup innovation since 2016 through its Ankur initiative, having provided grants worth approximately Rs 28 crores to 30 startups. The new 'Emerge' cohort will offer investment opportunities to early-stage startups that have developed a Proof of Concept (PoC), prototype, Minimum Viable Product (MVP), or a fully implemented solution.
Startups focusing on AI-powered energy management, predictive maintenance, smart metering, pipeline monitoring, and other advanced technologies are encouraged to apply. Selected startups can receive investments of up to Rs 5 crores through equity and other funding modes, with a maximum stake of 20 percent.
The deadline for applications is April 10, 2025. Interested startups can apply at [www.startup.bpcl.in].
