Coal executives & pensioners to hold demonstration outside Coal India HQ on Jan 22

New Delhi: All India Coal Pensioners Association (AICPA) and All India Association of Coal Executives (AIACE) have decided to stage a day-long demonstration before state-run Coal India Limited’s (CIL) headquarters in Kolkata and Singreni Collieries Company Ltd’s (SCCL) office in Kothagudem. In a press statement issued on Thursday, PK Singh Rathor, convenor, AIACE and AICPA, said that working and retired coal employees and executives along with coal pensioners from different parts of the country, will stage a demonstration on January 22 to demand the fulfilment of their demands.

What are Coal India executives & pensioners demanding?

According to the statement, the AICPA and AIACE have demanded the resolution of pay conflict between workers and executives which has been created after the implementation of the National Coal Wage Agreement (NCWA-XI). They have also demanded similar benefits to executives and non -executives, like PRP, NPS and others, to remove the disparity between them, revision of pension under CMPS 1998 and streamlining of CPRMS for executives and non-executives.

“It is to reiterate that prior to this proposed demonstration, attempts were made to raise the issues at different platforms, but all these efforts have failed to yield success,” said the statement.
