New Delhi: State-owned NBCC (India) Limited has secured new work orders worth approximately Rs 501.45 crore in the normal course of business, with the largest contract valued at Rs 430.69 crore for the construction of science laboratories in government schools across Rajasthan.

In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, the company said the biggest order has been awarded by the Rajasthan Council of School Education for the construction of 2,256 science laboratories — covering Physics, Chemistry and Biology—in 922 government schools across the state on a turnkey basis. The project, valued at approximately Rs 430.69 crore (excluding GST), will be executed under a project management consultancy model.

NBCC has also received an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contract with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to create infrastructure facilities for NFTRs at BEL. The order is valued at around Rs 60.61 crore (excluding GST).

Additionally, the company has secured two project management agency (PMA) assignments under the CSR initiatives of Power Finance Corporation (PFC). These include a Rs 5.38 crore contract for constructing a state-of-the-art tourist facilitation centre at Aizawl, Mizoram, and a Rs 4.77 crore contract for Phase II construction of a school building at Dr. K.B. Hedgewar Higher Secondary School of Arts, Commerce and Science in Cujira, Bambolim, Goa.

NBCC said all four contracts have been awarded by domestic entities and are part of the company's normal course of business. The company also clarified that the contracts do not involve any related-party transactions.
