NTPC arm declares commercial operation of 56.7 MW wind capacity in Gujarat

New Delhi: NTPC Limited on Tuesday announced the commercial operation of an aggregate 56.7 MW wind power capacity of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a step-down subsidiary of NTPC through its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL).

The announcement regarding the commercial operation of two portions of wind energy projects in Gujarat was made by Maharatna power PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchnages on September 22.

The first project comprises the fourth part capacity of 6.3 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project located at Nakhatrana in Kutch, Gujarat. The capacity forms part of the 1,050 MW wind component of the 500 MW REMCL RTC Project and achieved commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hours on September 22, 2026.
