NTPC Green Energy adds 12.5 MW solar capacity in its operational portfolio

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has announced the commencement of commercial operations for a 12.5 MW solar power capacity out of the total 37.5 MW solar project located in Bhuj, Gujarat.

The project belongs to Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Ltd., a joint venture between ONGC and NTPC Green Energy.

With this addition, the total commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) Group has reached 7,419.975 MW, up from 7,407.475 MW.

The newly commissioned solar capacity marks another step forward in NTPC Green Energy’s commitment to accelerating India’s transition toward renewable energy and achieving the nation’s ambitious clean energy goals.
