NTPC’s Kamal Nath Thakur nominated as member of ICMAI’s IAASB

New Delhi: Kamal Nath Thakur, a senior professional associated with NTPC Limited, has been nominated as a member of the Internal Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).

Thakur is currently associated with NTPC’s Corporate Internal Audit Department. He brings more than three decades of professional experience across internal audit, project financing, treasury, corporate governance and internal controls.

He is a Fellow Member of both the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

As a member of the IAASB, Thakur will contribute to the board’s work on internal auditing and assurance practices, with a focus on strengthening professional standards, governance, risk management, transparency and accountability.

The IAASB is responsible for supporting the development and advancement of internal auditing and assurance practices and contributes to ICMAI’s professional and institutional objectives.
