Vigilance Awareness Week celebration concludes in MIDHANI

New Delhi: Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week - 2023 from October 30, 2023 to November 5, 2023 with the theme “Say no to corruption, commit to the Nation; भ्रष्टाचार का विरोध करें; राष्ट्र के प्रति समर्पित रहे” as per the instructions of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

The observance of the Vigilance Awareness Week - 2023 commenced with the administering of the Integrity Pledge by MIDHANI's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Dr SK Jha on October 30. The Inaugural program was attended by MIDHANI's Director (Finance) N Gowri Sankara Rao, Director (Production & Marketing) T Muthukumar, CVO Dr Upender Vennam and other senior officials and all employees of MIDHANI. During Inaugural session of VAW-2023, a handbook on "Reservations Policies" has been released. An e-platform on "Disciplinary Proceedings Procedure" as designed by IT dept, was also launched by C&MD, MIDHANI during the program on November 30.

A series of events on this year’s theme i.e. “Say no to corruption, commit to the Nation; भ्रष्टाचार का विरोध करें; राष्ट्र के प्रति समर्पित रहे”” have been organized for the employees during the week. Various Quiz competitions on topics like “Anti-Corruption Drive & PIDPI Resolution”, “Cyber Security & Disciplinary Proceedings Procedure” and “Standing Orders” were conducted in on-line mode. In line with directive from CVC, Vendor Meet (Online), Customer Grievance Redressal Session (Online) and 4-KM Walkathon around MIDHANI neighbourhood area were conducted to encourage stakeholders across society to fight against corruption. On request from MIDHANI Vigilance dept, Poster Making, Essay Writing & Slogan writing competitions were also conducted by BPDAV School Management among the students as part of outreach activities during the week.

The week was concluded on November 4 with a Valedictory Program. The program was attended by Dr Jha, Director (Finance) N Gowri Sankara Rao, Director (Production & Marketing) T. Muthukumar, CVO and other senior officials from MIDHANI. In the event, Vigilance in-House Magazine “JAGRUTI” and “Updated Procurement Manual for Goods” were released and prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions held during the week.

The CMD in his keynote address, exhorted all employees to ensure compliance to rules and procedures and to lead an ethical life. The session ended with a Vote of thanks to all employees of MIDHANI who were committed to contribute wholeheartedly to this program to succeed in its goal towards making India a corruption-free, developed nation.
