RVNL emerges lowest bidder for Rs 87.56-crore Video Surveillance Project from South Eastern Railway

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a major railway safety and surveillance project awarded by South Eastern Railway, in the normal course of its business operations.

In a regulatory filing, RVNL said it has secured the L1 position for the “Supply, Installation and Commissioning of IP-based Video Surveillance System (VSS) in LHB Coaches,” as per RDSO specifications. The scope of work includes installation of four cameras per coach in line with RDSO Specification, along with rugged handheld terminals (HHTs) or tablets and 8 TB external SSDs.

The contract, awarded through domestic e-tendering, is valued at Rs 87.56 crore, excluding GST. The project is to be executed within a period of 10 months from the date of issuance of the purchase order.

RVNL clarified that neither the promoter nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority and that the order does not fall under related party transactions.
