New Delhi: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL) based in Chhattisgarh, has launched a dedicated Post-Retirement Benefit (PRB) Cell to enhance the welfare and convenience of its retired employees. The PRB Cell will serve as a single-window system, consolidating various post-retirement services that were previously managed by multiple departments, including Personnel, Finance, and Medical.
This centralization aims to eliminate delays and miscommunication, providing retirees with streamlined access to pensions, provident funds, medical facilities, and other benefits, the coal PSU said in an official statement.
The PRB Cell offers several key advantages, including a single-window mechanism for all services, enabling retirees to obtain information and resolve issues through a centralized platform. By consolidating all post-retirement benefit services under one roof, SECL has reduced the need for retirees to coordinate with multiple departments, thereby streamlining processes and enhancing convenience. Additionally, the cell ensures quick resolutions, with dedicated personnel working to deliver faster response times and improved service delivery.
Dr Prem Sagar Mishra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of SECL, stated, "The launch of the PRB Cell reflects our unwavering dedication to the welfare of our retired workforce. It's a step towards acknowledging their invaluable contributions and ensuring a hassle-free post-retirement experience." The initiative also complements 'Mission Sambandh,' an SECL program aimed at enhancing communication and coordination with stakeholders. Biranchi Das, Director (Personnel), noted that the PRB Cell would further strengthen this mission.
