NHPC achieves remote operation of all units of its Teesta Low Dam-IV Power Station

New Delhi: NHPC Limited has achieved the remote operation of all the four generating units of its 160 MW Teesta Low Dam-IV Power Station located in Khalijhora, West Bengal from its regional office located at Siliguri on March 13. NHPC Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) AK Singh and NHPC LImited's Director (Technical) Janardan Choudhary have extended their best wishes to the entire team of Teesta Low Dam-IV Power Station (TLDP-IV Power Station) and NHPC Limited's regional office Siliguri led by NHPC Limited's Executive Director (Regional Office) Siliguri, D Chattopadhyay for this achievement.

In addition to this, the works of remote operation of NHPC's 132 MW TLDP-III Power Station located in Rambi, Darjeeling, West Bengal is also in advance stage and is expected to be achieved shortly, the company said in a press release. The remote operations of the power stations will pave a new chapter in technological development for NHPC and hydro sector in India.
