New Delhi: The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) announced that it has elected Naresh Kumar, General Manager (Corporate Communications) at PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), as the chairman of the organisation’s Delhi chapter. The elections to the post were held at Press Club of India, New Delhi, recently.

Other committee members elected were SS Rao, AGM (CC), PFC, Dr HS Paul, Delhi Bureau Chief, Daily Excelsior, Jammu, Sarvesh Tiwari, Managing Director, PR Professionals, JP Sharma, Former DGM (PR), NTPC, Ms Tanvi Singhal, Sr Executive (CC), Rural Electrification of Corporation (REC), and Akshat Chopra, PRO, POWERGRID. In its first meeting of the Executive Council, the Chairman and the committee has taken the decision to appoint the following office bearers — Paul as Vice Chairman, Rao as General Secretary, and Tiwari as Joint Secretary and Sharma, as Treasurer.

The Executive Council has co-opted GS Bawa, Former GM (PR), AAI, KN Dhawan, Advisor, Communication, SCOPE, JP Dhoundiyal, Ex-DGM THDC and presently Head of Media Cell, Union Minister of State for Power, NRE (IC) and Sushma Gaur, AGM (CC) NHSRCL, as a member of the Executive Council.
