New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of appointments of senior officers as Chief Vigilance Officers (CVOs) across major Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and government departments on April 13. This feat is aimed at strengthening vigilance oversight in key sectors including defence production, petroleum, power, steel and telecommunications.

Saravanan Mannai Pathakkam, an Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer of the 2000 batch, has been appointed as CVO in Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bengaluru, under the Department of Defence Production. He will serve for an initial period of three years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shailendra Singh, an Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer of the Tripura cadre (1997 batch), has been appointed as CVO in Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Delhi, under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. His tenure will be up to September 15, 2028, in line with the combined deputation tenure of seven years in CSS and Non-CSS posts.

Rajesh Kumar Singh, an Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) officer of the 2002 batch, has been appointed as CVO in Power Finance Corporation (PFC), Delhi, under the Ministry of Power. He will serve for an initial period of three years.

Dilip Kumar, an Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) officer of the 2002 batch, has been appointed as CVO in Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Delhi, under the Ministry of Steel. His appointment is for an initial period of three years.

Trinadh Kumar Goriparti, an IFoS officer of the Union Territories cadre (2002 batch), has been appointed as CVO in Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Visakhapatnam, under the Ministry of Steel. He will serve up to January 18, 2029, corresponding to a combined deputation tenure of seven years away from the cadre.

ACC clears 48 senior-level bureaucratic appointments across Ministries

Dalip Singh Bhadauria, an Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) officer of the 2002 batch, has been appointed as CVO in the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Delhi. He will hold the post for an initial period of three years.

Babji Patchilla, an IOFS officer of the 1998 batch, has been appointed as CVO in Indian Telephone Industries Limited (ITI), Bengaluru, under the Department of Telecommunications. His tenure will be for an initial period of three years.

All appointments will be effective from the date of assumption of charge of the respective posts or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
