Atul Gupta gets three-month extension as Director (Commercial) of EIL

New Delhi: The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has approved a three-month extension of the additional charge of Director (Commercial) at Engineers India Limited (EIL) to Atul Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

According to a regulatory filing by EIL, Gupta will continue to hold the additional charge with effect from September 30, for a period of three months. The extension will remain effective until the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Gupta is currently serving as Chairman and Managing Director of Engineers India Limited.

During his tenure as Director (Commercial), Gupta played a key role in strengthening EIL's order book, expanding its international footprint and consolidating its position in the domestic market. He also led initiatives to diversify the company's business into infrastructure and other emerging sectors while promoting sustainable and technology-driven solutions. His contributions have supported the Government of India's Make in India initiative by advancing indigenisation and self-reliance across EIL's operations.
