Bimal Gopalachari going to be next Managing Director of CCIC

New Delhi: Bimal Gopalachari is set to be next Managing Director (MD) of Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Limited (CCIL), a PSU under the under the Ministry of Textiles. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Additional General Manager (Head of Business Development) of NTPC Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited.

Gopalachari has been recommended for the post of Managing Director of CCIC from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 20. Other candidates, who were on the list were from reputed organisation namely PEC Limited, MSTC Limited, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), NTPC Limited, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) and Indian Navy.
