Ghantasala VN Prasad set to be next Director (Commercial) of RINL

New Delhi: Ghantasala VN Prasad is set to be next Director (Commercial) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL)-Vizag Steel Plant (VSP). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

RINL-VSP is a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel.

Prasad has been recommended for the post of Director (Commercial) of RINL-VSP from a list of seven candidates who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on November 9. Out of seven candidates four candidates were from RINL and one each from National Seeds Corporation (NSC), Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) and Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL).

As Director (Commercial) of RINL, Prasad will be a member of the Board of Directors and report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will also be responsible for marketing and materials management functions in the company.
