Govt appoints Dr Som Nath Sachdeva as Independent Director on NTPC

New Delhi: State-owned NTPC Limited on Friday said the Government of India has appointed Dr Som Nath Sachdeva as a Non-Official Independent Director on the company's Board for a period of three years.

In a regulatory filing, NTPC said the Ministry of Power, through its order dated July 17, 2026, conveyed the appointment of Dr Sachdeva by the President of India. The appointment will be effective from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
