Govt approves appointment of Vikraman N for BEL’s Director (HR) post

New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Vikraman N for the post of Director (Human Resources) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence, on Wednesday.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Department of Defence Production for appointment of Vikraman to the post of Director (Human Resources) of BEL on Wednesday. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. March 31, 2026, or until further orders whichever is earlier.

Vikraman was recommended for the post of Director (HR) of BEL by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on February 21. He was selected for the post from a list of seven candidates who were interviewed by the PESB panel.

On assuming change as Director (HR) of BEL, Vikraman will be a member of the board of directors. He will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) and will be overall in-charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.
