Jose V J gets three-month extension as CSL CMD

New Delhi: Jose V J, who is currently serving as Director (Finance), has been given a three-month extension on his additional charge as Chairman & Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), according to a communication from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

According to a company's regulatory filings to the stock exchanges, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has approved the proposal to extend the additional charge entrusted to Jose V J, who is currently serving as Director (Finance), for a further period of three months with effect from May 1.

The extension will remain valid until July 31, 2026, or until a regular incumbent assumes charge of the post, or until further orders are issued, whichever is earlier.

Jose V J was initially entrusted with the additional charge of the CMD post following the superannuation of former CMD Madhu Sankunny Nair on January 31.

He is a cost accountant by profession and joined the company as Assistant Manager in 1995. He also holds a degree in Law from Government Law College, Ernakulam. He has approximately 34 years of work experience across diverse fields such as financial management, strategic planning, risk management, forex management, budgeting and cost control. He is also heading the Information Systems Department of the Company.
