Kavita Rakesh Satvi set to be next Director (Finance) of Konkan Railway

New Delhi: Kavita Rakesh Satvi is set to be next Director (Finance) of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. She has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on June 20. Presently, she is serving as General Manager and CFO at Kamarajar Port Limited.

Satvi has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of Konkan Railway from a list of five candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on June 20. The other candidates who appeared for the selection interview included senior executives from RITES Limited, Oil India Limited, ONGC Limited and NTPC Limited.

Satvi is a seasoned finance professional with over 23 years of experience in the logistics, ports and infrastructure sectors. A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and an MBA from Deakin University, Australia, she has been serving at Kamarajar Port Limited since August 2023.

She has held senior leadership positions at J M Baxi Group, APM Terminals, PSA Singapore, Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and CONCOR Air Limited. Her expertise spans corporate finance, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, audits, taxation, compliance, business transformation and process automation.

An accomplished academic, she secured the 33rd rank in the CA Foundation examination at the national level and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in her first attempt. She also holds a Diploma in IFRS from ACCA, UK. Recognised for her leadership and integrity, she has played a key role in driving financial reforms, digital transformation and operational excellence across the logistics and port sectors.

As Director (Finance) of Konkan Railway, Satvi will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director. She will be overall in-charge of finance, accounts and funds management of the organisation and be responsible for evolving and formulating policies relating to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
