KV Suresh Kumar appointed as Director (Marketing) of BEL

New Delhi: Kaipa Venkata Suresh Kumar has been appointed as Director (Marketing) of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence. The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for the appointment of Kumar on Thursday.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on June 15, Kumar has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. June 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Kumar was recommended for the post of Director (Marketing) of BEL by the PESB panel on on March 17. He was selected for the post from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel.

On assumption of charge as Director (Marketing) of BEL, Kumar will be responsible for evolving a marketing strategy for the company's products both in domestic and international markets. He will have to initiate programmes for new customer development, identify diversification programmes for the company and ensure a healthy order book position for the company's products. He will ensure a system for market intelligence and research on a continuous basis among others.
