Naveen Srivastava set to be next Director (Operations) of Power Grid

New Delhi: Naveen Srivastava is set be next Director (Operations) of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Northern Region III) in the same organisation.

Srivastava has been recommended for the post of Director (Operations) of Power Grid from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 17. Out of 12 candidates, 11 candidates were from Power Grid itself and one candidate was from ONGC.

As Director (Operations) of Power Grid, Srivastava will be member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible to lay down the operations philosophy of the corporation oversee the operation of the company's transmission assets and adopt technological advances for a high degree of reliability efficiency and sustained performance, promoting indigenisation under the Atma Nirbhar Scheme of the Government.
