
New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited has announced the appointment of two Non-Official Independent Directors (NOIDs) to its Board, effective April 23. The appointments have been approved by the Ministry of Housing Affairs and will be valid for a period of one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The newly appointed directors are:
Dr Deepak Singh, a seasoned healthcare professional and academic, Dr Singh holds an MBBS and MD along with postgraduate training in Health and Family Welfare Management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and biomedical data analysis. With over 30 years of experience, Dr Singh has served in diverse roles ranging from academic faculty positions to key administrative roles, including Officer on Special Duty to the Government of India. Notably, he previously served as an Independent Director at HSCC (India) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NBCC.
Bhimrao Panda Bhosale, an eminent academician in the field of linguistics and translation studies, Bhosale is currently a Professor and Head of the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies at the University of Hyderabad. He holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in English and has contributed significantly to cross-cultural translation projects and linguistic research. He has been re-appointed to the NBCC Board, having previously served as an Independent Director from November 2021 to November 2024.
NBCC confirmed that neither of the appointees is debarred from holding directorships under any SEBI order or by any other regulatory authority.
