PESB picks N Senthil Kumar for Indian Oil's Director (Pipelines) post

New Delhi: N Senthil Kumar is set to be next Director (Pipelines) of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Senthil has been recommended for the post of Director (Pipelines) of Indian Oil from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 9. Out of nine candidates, five candidates were from Indian Oil, two candidates from GAIL (India) Limited and one candidate was from IHB Ltd.

Senthil is an Engineering Graduate in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. He joined Indian Oil as Senior Operations Manager in April 2004 and subsequently rose to the the current position.

As Director (Pipelines) of Indian Oil, Senthil will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman. He will be in charge of the Pipelines Division to achieve transportation of crude oil and petroleum products in line with the corporation's plans and objectives. He will also be responsible for revamping of existing pipelines besides taking up of new pipelines projects.
