Rajesh Kumar Chandel set to be next Director (Projects) of SJVN

New Delhi: Rajesh Kumar Chandel is set to be next Director (Projects) of SJVN Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. Presently, he is serving as Chief Executive Officer of SJVN Limited.

Chandel has been recommended for the post of Director (Projects) of SJVN Limited from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its 2^nd meeting of 2025 held on Monday. Out of 12 candidates, nine candidates were from SJVN, two from NHPC Limited and one candidate was from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC).

As Director (Projects) of SJVN, Chandel will be a member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation. He will report to the Chairman & Managing Director. He assists CMD towards achievement of corporate vision and goals of the organization. He is responsible for developing and enforcing sound strategy for effective marketing of products to carry out the lending operations.
