Subrato Ghosh appointed as Director (Personnel) of GRSE

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Subrato Ghosh for the post of Director (Personnel) of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Defence, on Thursday.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Ghosh has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation April 30, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in the same Defence PSU.

Ghosh was recommended for the post of Director (Personnel) of GRSE by the PESB panel on March 14. He was selected for the post from a list of nine candidates who were interviewed by the PESB panel.

On assumption charge as Director (Personnel) of GRSE, Ghosh will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in-charge of Human Resource Management & Administration functions and responsible for evolving and formulating personnel and industrial relations policies etc., as well as implementation.
