

New Delhi: State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has assigned the additional charge of the post of Director (Production) to Vikram Saxena, who is currently serving as Director (Technology & Field Services) in the company.

According to a regulatory filing issued by ONGC on Monday, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) has entrusted Saxena with the additional responsibility for a period of three months with effect from July 1, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Vikram Saxena is the Director (Technology & Field Services) at ONGC and currently oversees the company’s drilling and well services operations. He is responsible for leading ONGC’s technical services functions and heads key institutions such as the Institute of Drilling Technology, a Centre of Excellence in Drilling Technology, and the School of Maintenance Practices at Vadodara, which provides training and support for field maintenance services.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate with a postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Saxena has more than 35 years of experience in the exploration and production (E&P) sector across both onshore and offshore operations. During his long association with ONGC, he has held several leadership positions and gained extensive expertise in operations, maintenance, regulatory affairs, health, safety and environment (HSE), and policy matters.
