Vivek Jaiswal (ITS) assumes charge as CMD of ECIL

New Delhi: ITS officer Vivek Jaiswal has assumed charge as Chairman and Managing Director (C&MD) and Director (Technical) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy.

Jaiswal brings more than three decades of experience spanning across telecommunications, electronics, instrumentation, technology, business development and public-sector management. His professional career includes leadership roles and experience across ONGC, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and BSNL.

He holds a B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation from SATI Vidisha and an MBA from IIM Lucknow. He has also completed executive programmes at IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad and ESCP Europe. Jaiswal is a recipient of the Vishistha Sanchar Sewa Padak for his contribution to the telecommunications sector.

During his career, Jaiswal has handled large-scale strategy and operations responsibilities, including management of P&L portfolios exceeding Rs 1,000 crore and large workforces. In business development, he has led high-value enterprise growth initiatives and secured major public-sector and banking business accounts.

He has also been involved in the execution of large technology projects, including nationwide optical fibre rollouts, mission-critical networks and next-generation telecommunications infrastructure.

At ECIL, Jaiswal brings expertise in strategy and operations, business development, technology-led innovation, large-scale project execution, P&L management and stakeholder engagement. His experience in converting technology into scalable business solutions and managing complex multi-stakeholder projects is expected to support ECIL's next phase of growth.
