Q3 FY’22: Balmer Lawrie registers 68% increase in net profit

New Delhi: Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) with diversified business portfolios, has announced financial results for the 3rd quarter (Q3) of the current financial year (FY'22) as per the accounts adopted for the quarter ending December 31, 2021. The results were approved by the Board in its Meeting held in Kolkata on Wednesday.

The total net income for the third quarter has registered a growth of 27 percent quarter to quarter and stood at Rs 507.18 crore as compared to the same period last year. The profit before tax (PBT) increased by 17 percent and rose to Rs 25.04 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 21.38 crore for the same period last year. Correspondingly, the net profit (PAT) during the quarter increased by 68 percent to Rs 19.70 crore compared to Rs 11.75 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The net income for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2021 stood at Rs 1,497.52 crore, an increase of 41 percent over Rs 1,064.80 crore in the corresponding period last year. PBT for the nine-month period increased and stood at Rs 85.83 crore as compared to Rs 50.25 crore in the same period last year.
