Richa Pandey (ICAS) appointed as Deputy Secretary in NPPA

New Delhi: Richa Pandey (ICAS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority (NPPA), Delhi under the Department of Pharmaceuticals. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), she has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Richa Pandey (ICAS) is an Indian Civil Accounts Service officer of the 2011-batch. She was recommended for the Central deputation by the Department of Expenditure. "She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority," the order further added.

NPPA is a government regulatory agency that controls the prices of pharmaceutical drugs in India. It was constituted by the government as an attached office of the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers as an independent Regulator for the pricing of drugs and to ensure the availability and accessibility of medicines at affordable prices.
