RINL-VSP bags ‘Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award’ by CII

New Delhi: Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award was bestowed on RINL-VSP, Navratna Public Sector Steel Company by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the 'GBC National Award' competition for excellence in energy management held online from August 24 to August 27 in recognition of efforts toward energy conservation at RINL.

RINL-VSP Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Atul Bhatt commended the VSP collective for this unique achievement and mentioned that the award truly reflects the commitment of the entire workforce to conserving energy. He exhorted them to achieve international benchmarking in energy consumption, one of the key parameters in the steel making process

RINL also awarded National Energy Leader Award 3rd time for winning the Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award consecutively for four years (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021).

RINL has also been awarded the most innovative project award for the interconnection of LD gas holder 1 and 2.

RINL implemented various measures such as Interconnection of LD gas holder-1 and 2, improvement in PCI injection in Blast Furnace-1, Installation of Roof Top Solar System, Improvement in GETs Power generation and Improvement in total fuel rate in BF-3 which helped in conserving the energy.
