RSP’s CEO inaugurates 54th Annual Horticulture Show-2020

Rourkela: The 54th Annual Horticulture Show-2020, organised by the Horticulture Department of SAIL's Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), has been inaugurated on January 18 by RSP's CEO Dipak Chattaraj at the Picturesque Jubilee Park, Sector-8. The beautifully landscaped Jubilee Park came alive with a sea of visitors thronging the venue, applauding the myriad varieties of flowers, vegetables and fruits on display and avidly posing with them for photographs.

The CEO inaugurated the '54th Annual Horticulture Show-2020′ in the presence of RSP's Executive Director (P&A) Raj Vir Singh, Executive Director (MM) Dilip Kumar Mohapatra, Executive Director (Projects) Pankaj Kumar, all Vice Presidents of Deepika Mahila Sanghati Suman Lata, Minakhi Mohapatra and Kiran Sinha, Director In-charge (M&HS) Dr SS Pati, CGM (TA&CSR) Ajay Kumar Nayak many other senior officers of RSP, governing body members of DMS and a large number of Rourkelites.

Chattaraj, accompanied by all the dignitaries, went around the exhibition and appreciated the exhibits. He had a special word of praise for the nature lovers of Rourkela who had made such humongous efforts to showcase the glory of nature for the viewing pleasure of everyone. He also lauded the efforts of the Horticulture Department for organising such a grand show that has created a niche for itself in the region. He thanked the members of the media for spreading the word regarding the passion of Rourkelites for nature.

It is worth mentioning here that the show will conclude on Saturday. The prize winners of the different categories of the event will be presented with certificates, trophies and cash awards in the concluding function to be held at the venue of the show.

A scintillating cultural programme presented by the artists of different cultural organisations of the Steel City was another highlight of the evening. Anil Mallick, Senior Technician, CRM coordinated the function.
