New Delhi: Sreenivasa Murthy Rangaiah has been appointed as an Additional Director on the board of RVNL Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. The Board of Directors of RVNL Limited has approved the appointment of Sreenivasa Murthy Rangaiah as an Additional Director (Non-Official Independent Director) with effect from November 9, 2021, said RVNL in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Saturday.

Rangaiah retired from Indian Forest Service (IFS) on August 30, 2020. He holds BSc in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry, an MSc degree in Botany, MPhil in Applied Plant Physiology, (Botany) MSc, (Equivalent) in Forestry and Post Graduate Diploma in Wildlife Management. His area of specialisation is Management and Administration, HR, Forestry and Wildlife and Biodiversity Management. He has also served as CCF and APCCF (Joint Secretary Level or above) from 2008 to 2020 (for more than 11 years).

Rangaiah is the winner of the ‘All Round Best Wild Lifer’ award from Wildlife Institute of India during the PG Diploma in Wildlife Management Course in the year 1993.
