New Delhi: Sunil Shivaling Bagi is set to be the next Director (Finance) of Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Currently, he is posted as Chief General Manager (Finance) in the same organisation.

Sunil Shivaling Bagi has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of GSL from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on June 3. Among six candidates on the list, Bagi was the only candidate, who was from GSL. The other two candidates were from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and one each from Mangalore Refineries & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) and Rosa Power Supply Company Limited.

As Director (Finance) of GSL, Bagi will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in-charge of finance and accounts of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving and formulating policies relating to finance and accounts as well as implementation.
