TIME’s 2021 person of the year: Richest man in the world who does not own a house

Must read

Viral News Desk: Elon musk has been named TIME's 2021 person of the year. "He tosses satellites into orbit and harnesses the sun; he drives a car he created that uses no gas and barely needs a driver. With a flick of his finger, the stock market soars or swoons. An army of devotees hangs on his every utterance. He dreams of Mars as he bestrides Earth, square-jawed and indomitable. Lately, Elon Musk also likes to live-tweet his poops" TIME said announcing him the Time 2021 person of the year.

Elon Musk is also the founder and CEO of rocket company SpaceX and leads brain-chip startup Neuralink and infrastructure firm The Boring Company.

"This is the man who aspires to save our planet and get us a new one to inhabit: clown, genius, edgelord, visionary, industrialist, showman, cad; a madcap hybrid of Thomas Edison, P.T. Barnum, Andrew Carnegie and Watchmen’s Doctor Manhattan, the brooding, blue-skinned man-god who invents electric cars and moves to Mars," the magazine wrote explaining why Elon Musk has been chosen to be the person of a year, 2021, that has been full of historic fluctuations.

Musk has spent a lifetime defying the haters; now, it seems, he’s finally in a position to put them in their place. For 2021 was the year of Elon Unbound, TIME wrote.

Tesla cars in India

On Monday only Tesla got approval to launch 3 more models in India. As per information shared by the Centre-controlled Vahan Sewa, Tesla India Motors and Energy, the India subsidiary of Tesla Inc, has received a homologation certificate for three more models, making it a total of seven models to receive approval. Homologation is a process that certifies a particular vehicle is roadworthy after meeting all the specified criteria. However, it was not immediately clear which models or variants have cleared the homologation process.

However, Tesla yet not has said a word about any timeline. No one knows when Tesla will begin production or sale of cars in India.
