New Delhi: Abhishek Kumar Singh (IFoS) has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Singh is a 2009 batch officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) of Chhattisgarh. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Pharmaceuticals,” the order further read.
