Ankita Chakravarty (IAS) appointed as DS in Ministry of Home Affairs

IAS officer Ankita Chakravarty has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday

New Delhi: Ankita Chakravarty (IAS) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Chakravarty has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

She was recommended for the Central Deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ankita is a 2013-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre. Presently, she is posted as Secretary of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) with the additional charge of CEO of NDMC Smart City Limited. “She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Ministry of Home Affairs,” the order further reads.
