New Delhi: Aseem Kumar (IDSE) is set to be Director in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Kumar has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kumar is an Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) officer of 1999 batch. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Defence.

Aseem Kumar is an Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) officer of 1999-batch. Prior to this, he was recommended by the Ministry of Defence for the Central deputation

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is a ministry of the government that is mainly responsible for research and development, intellectual property protection, and international cooperation, promotion, and coordination in renewable energy sources such as wind power, small hydro, biogas, and solar power.
