Ashish Gupta (IRSME) appointed as DS in Department of Rural Development

New Delhi: Ashish Gupta (IRSME) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, Delhi on Monday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Gupta has been selected for the appointment under the the Central Staffing Scheme from the date of taking over charge of the post and for a tenure upto December 30, 2025 (i.e. combined tenure of 04 years at ex-cadre and CSS posts put together under the Central Staffing Scheme) or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Gupta is an Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME) officer of 2014 batch. He was recommended for the Central deputation by the Ministry of Railways.

"He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Rural Development," the order further added.
