New Delhi: The Government has approved the premature repatriation of Lalit Bohra (IRTS) Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), to his parent cadre. The decision has been approved on personal grounds.

The repatriation comes with the imposition of an extended cooling-off condition, as per the applicable service rules.

Lalit Bohra, an officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) of 1998 batch, has been associated with key initiatives at the MNRE, contributing to policy development and program implementation in the renewable energy sector.

Bohra is an Electrical Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and an MBA (Finance) from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani. As Joint Secretary at MNRE, he was looking after wind energy including offshore wind and transmission system including Green Energy Corridors.
