Pinky Sawariya selected for appointment as DS in Central Information Commission

The Govt has approved the appointment of Pinky Sawariya (ISS) as Deputy Secretary in the Central Information Commission (CIC)

New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the appointment of Pinky Sawariya, ISS (2012), as Deputy Secretary in the Central Information Commission (CIC), New Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme.

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Sawariya, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, will serve as Deputy Secretary for a period of four years from the date she assumes charge of the post, on or before December 31, 2025.

The order further states that Sawariya will subsequently be appointed as Joint Secretary (Director-level) in the Central Information Commission with effect from January 1, 2026, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

She has been directed to be relieved of her present duties immediately to enable her to take up the new assignment in the Central Information Commission, New Delhi.
