Her selection follows a recommendation by the Department of Economic Affairs for central deputation. The concerned authorities have been instructed to relieve Joshi of her current duties with immediate effect to enable her to take up the new assignment at the Central Information Commission.

With over a decade of experience in economic administration and policymaking, Joshi is expected to bring valuable expertise to the Commission, which plays a crucial role in ensuring transparency and accountability in governance through the effective implementation of the Right to Information Act.
