Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS) gets additional charge as Secretary of Department of Justice

IAS officer Raj Kumar Goyal has been given additional charge as Secretary of Department of Justice on Tuesday

New Delhi: The Central Government has assigned responsibility of Secretary Department of Justice to Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS). According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary of Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice to Goyal on Tuesday.

Goyal has been given additional charge of the post upon superannuation of SKG Rahate (IAS) on April 30 and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Goyal is a 1990-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre. Presently, he is serving as Secretary of Department of Border Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
