New Delhi: Govt has approved the proposal for the appointment of Rupjyoti Brahma Karjee (IFS) as the Private Secretary to the Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh in the Ministry of External Affairs. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
Rupjyoti Brahma Karjee is an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 2011-batch.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India, also known as the Foreign Ministry, is the government agency responsible for the conduct of foreign relations of India. The Ministry comes under the Government of India and is responsible for India's representation in the United Nations. It also advises other Ministries and State Governments when the latter have dealings with foreign governments or institutions.
